A 48-inch Ping PLD Onset Oslo long putter. Spotted on the practice green Monday at the Truist Championship, Finau confirmed he's seriously considering shaking things up on the greens after testing multiple long options last week.

"The putter has felt inconsistent [this season]," said Finau. "It's something I've thought about but never really gave it a chance."

Ping principal design engineer Tony Serrano sent Finau three putters last week to try, before he settled on the onset version, which has a similar geometry to his AllyBlue Tech putter, just longer.

Whether it makes his Thursday bag remains to be seen. His putting's been solid this season (82nd in Strokes Gained: Putting), but he's hunting for something more.
