    Eight birdies in a row.

Eleven over 13 holes. No, this isn't a dream but the run of a lifetime for University of North Carolina junior Niall Sheils Donegan. His birdie run during his final round at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National G.C. allowed him to become the first Tar Heel to make eight consecutive birdies since David Ford did it in 2022. He'd post a nine-under 62 at day's end, finishing eighth. If the name sounds familiar, it might be because of his standout run to the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur last August, followed by a breakout performance for GB&I at the Walker Cup.
