Say this about having early tee time on a Saturday at a major championship …

… it’s better than not having one at all (just ask Garrick Higgo). Chris Kirk and Justin Rose teed off in the 10th and 11th twosomes of Round 3 at Aronimink and each made the most of their opportunities. Both shot 65s to get to two under par for the championship, just two out of first as the leaders got ready to tee off. Before making a double on the 18th, Kirk even held a share of the lead. Each took advantage of a course that’s more receptive to scoring with lighter winds and warmer temps. Right now, the scoring average is 2½ strokes lower than it was Thursday and Friday. The question now: Can the leaders follow suit, changing their thinking and starting playing more aggressive?
