Matt Fitzpatrick's Bettinardi putters trace back to a Yes! Golf model he leaned on early in his career—specifically to the face milling that disappeared when the brand folded.
He chased that feel until a mutual connection put him in touch with Sam Bettinardi, and the two sides ran more than 30 prototypes at Bettinardi's Tinley Park headquarters before Fitzpatrick signed off on the tool size, depth and face pattern. They're calling it the Fitz Face, a semi-circular mill that's now landing in two retail models.
The BB1 Fitz Flow is a traditional blade with a thinner flange and a flow neck for arc strokes. The BB48 Fitz is a face-balanced mallet with a spud neck and double-bend shaft for straighter deliveries. Both retail for $550 and are one-piece milled from 303 stainless to 350 grams. Fitzpatrick has three wins this season with the tour version in play.
