As you watch the Par-3 Contest, remember the funny superstition that most competitors hold close.

You'll notice that most people won't card a score during the Par-3 Contest. The curse of the Par-3 Contest winner seems to be real ... nobody has ever won the Par-3 Contest and the Masters in the same year. Is that coincedence or something real? Who knows. But players will purposefully not hole out on the ninth hole. Of course, if a player lets their caddie or child hit a shot, they're also forced to WD.
