Looking for interesting tidbits about players' games sometimes means running into dead ends.

And I ran into one today.

My question was to Jon Rahm, who I found out has the best par-3 scoring (2.999) of any player from 2010 to 2026.

Surely, Jon, you must be doing something different, right? RIGHT?!

"No. Honestly, I am actually surprised I would be the one because it's usually a see-a-flag, hit-flag type of attitude."

So it's exactly the same process?

"Yeah. It's pretty much the same, yeah. I mean, the only good thing is that you're guaranteed a good lie on a par-3. So if, I would say, mid- to a long-iron game, I'm pretty good, and I think that probably has something to do with it.

Well, can't say I didn't try.
