It’s mind-boggling to consider that sisters Nelly and Jessica Korda will compete in the same official LPGA event this week for the first time in nearly three years.

Of course, the Kordas—with a combined 24 wins—were a regular duo for years and have played in the same tournament 96 times. Jess got married, left the tour in mid-2023 and had a son. In Big Sister's absence, Nelly has won eight of her 16 LPGA titles. They did a press conference together at the Ford Championship in Arizona, and there was plenty of playful banter. But Nelly also had a touching observation about what having Jess out on tour meant to her: “I think Jess taught me what life on tour was kind of like. Not many people really talk about it, but sometimes it is like a super isolating, lonely life out here, especially … if you're not really a very outgoing person to develop friendships with other girls; because it is highly competitive as well.”
