Gary Woodland said there was an incident this week that triggered him.
When asked in his winning press conference how PTSD impacts him during the round, Woodland explained an incident with several fans getting too close earlier this week put him in tears. "I got into scoring, I bawled my eyes out, I reset and was able to come back out and take care of stuff after," Woodland explained. "Coming out, talking and asking for help, I didn't do that last year. I didn't do that early this year. If I wouldn't ask Tour security, they wouldn't have been there for me like that. I'm extremely thankful for them. But I'm in a fight. I'm able—with the love and support I have around me, I have hope."
