Eric Cole has the chance to finally claim his first PGA Tour win on Sunday
as he carried a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club. It would be a big deal of course; he’s one of 22 players who have made more than $10 million on the PGA Tour without a victory. It’s a lot of pressure on the 37-year-old PGA Tour journeyman, but if it were to happen it would come with an extra special bonus: Today is also the birthday of his mom, former LPGA Tour player Laura Baugh, who is turning 71. Cole wished mom a happy birthday in the morning before trying to grab her a pretty memorable gift.
