The Trump administration’s plans to build a new course on the grounds of three historic, affordable munys in Washington, D.C., appear to be accelerating.
Golf Digest has confirmed East Potomac will close tomorrow. The Washington Post obtained plans for West Potomac Park that will include a reported 18-hole course (rendering included below). The takeover of the courses from the National Links Trust, which had recovered the courses and has been operating them since 2020, has caused outcry in the golf community.
