Does Jordan Spieth want the bad news or the good news first?

The bad news is of the six players who have completed the career Grand Slam, the average waiting period between capturing the third and fourth legs was a little more than three years. Spieth has fallen short in his nine previous attempts to win the PGA and become the seventh career Grand Slam winner. The good news is the only player who has taken longer is the most recent entrant to the Grand Slam club, Rory McIlroy, who endured an 11-year wait between his third (the 2014 Open Championship) and fourth legs (2025 Masters). The shortest wait was the month between Tiger Woods’ win in the 2000 U.S. Open and the 2000 Open Championship.
