With Stanford claiming the NCAA women’s title, Omni La Costa prepares to host the men and crown an individual and team winner to cap the 2025-25 college season.

But there’s a game-within-a-game going on at nationals based on the PGA Tour University standings, where the top player after this week earns a full PGA Tour card for the rest of 2026 and all of 2027. Virginia’s Ben James leads the standings by 61 points over Texas’ Christiaan Maas with the one event left. James clinches the top spot with a solo third or better; for the record he’s finished fifth or better in his last 10 college start to cap his senior season. However, if James were to stumble, Maas has a chance to pass him provided he finishes better than solo seventh. For the second-place finisher, along with anyone inside the top 10 of the rankings after NCAAs, you get full Korn Ferry Tour membership for the rest of 2026.
