A day after Rory McIlroy told reporters he ripped a toenail

off of a toe on his right foot because of a blister, he played nine holes during practice Wednesday at Aronimink in final preparations for the PGA Championship. McIlroy is still clearly having an issue with discomfort in his foot as he took his shoe and sock off several times during the day. But when he was done playing he signed autographs for a long time and told reporters that he's ready to go. He's grouped with Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm at 8:40 a.m. local time for Round 1.
