Overview

The Home Course, located just south of Tacoma, opened in 2007 and hosted the final U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links in 2014. Though the course can stretch to over 7,400 yards from the tips, the landing areas are generally forgiving. The greens are large and undulating but are often guarded by deep sod-faced pot bunkers.

“Open layout, minimally bunkered. Plenty of championships here because the course can stretch very long. This is a course that the average golfer might shoot their lowest score on. Highly unnecessary interior OB stakes on every hole."

“Excellent course stretched out to challenge the better players but friendly tees for all skill levels. The course is one of the best bargains in the state, conditioning could be a bit drier and firmer, but still an enjoyable and accessible round of golf."

“Tough greens that people tend to struggle on. Layout is interesting with the course being built on a military ammunition testing base on the sandy hills around the Puget Sound."

“A huge property, so the course is able to meander. Very enjoyable because of the amount of terrain covered. Also, some views of Puget Sound are a plus. Good driving is especially rewarded here."
