Overview

One of Texas' best golf resorts is the Omni Barton Creek, located just 25 minutes outside of Austin. The resort features four 18-hole designs, and the highest-ranked layout is the Fazio Canyons design, a former Golf Digest America's 100 Greatest Public winner. This signature Tom Fazio design, which offers scenic views of Austin’s Hill Country, will undergo a renovation beginning May 1, 2022.

“Barton Creek Canyons a very fun golf course in a lovely setting in the Texas Hill Country outside Austin. The greens are larger with more interesting contours than those at the adjacent Foothills course. The course is generally quite open, but could be even more so; there are a few spots where trees encroach on what could be greater angles."

“Most scenic of the Barton Creek courses. Fazio used the Hills of Austin to create probably the best of the Barton Creek Resort. A must play if visiting Austin. Fairways were firm and fast, greens rolled true."

“I think the best of the Barton Creeks courses. Off by itself up in the hills with creeks and natural areas throughout. I can't remember seeing any houses on the course. Plenty of different teeing areas per hole for all levels of golfer."
