Overview
This is the definition of a great classic hidden gem with an original design by Donald Ross and later work done by Seth Raynor. The compact routing makes great use of land movement and boasts challenging green complexes. The fabulous inland holes include the tremendous 165-yard Volcano hole at the eighth. The back 9 plays in and around lowland marshy areas and has a flat but great collection of holes where you navigate in and around the marshlands.

“Misquamicut is an extremely private and extremely fun old-school Donald Ross design located on the southern Rhode Island coastline. With the first 10 holes on the high ground and holes 11-17 literally on the beach, there's strong variety here and a number of extremely interesting holes. Seth Raynor also designed part of the course and some of the best holes can be found from him. I'd say this course is easily top 4 or 5 in Rhode Island but doesn't get the credit it deserves because so few people have played it."

“What a blast to play! Could enjoy this one day in and day out. Wild fairway undulations and very hilly terrain on the first 11 holes. Back nine moves to flat seaside land after the picturesque 11th. Course finishes with a nice up hill par three. The course has a mix of styles as architects from Ross to Raynor and several others had their hand in the design and modifications over the years. Golf as it was meant to be played."
