“Sadly, Metacomet closed its doors in 2020 after more than a century of play. This classic Donald Ross was one of Rhode Island's original courses and featured some wonderful holes including the dogleg par 4 4th, postage stamp par 3 7th, and strong par fours 14 and 17. Financial struggles led Metacomet to go semi-private for its final few years and in this capacity it was packed and no doubt one of the top 2-3 public options in Rhode Island."
