100 GREATEST/BEST IN STATE SCORES
1 / 6
“A perennial second-tier tournament host (incl. Womens Open, the US Senior Open for the third time in 2022), this is a great old course at a stately old club. The conditioning is excellent, the holes are varied (spoiler alert: 18 is a bit of a let-down), and the setting is really picturesque and nice. So are the members- friendly and welcoming."
2 / 6
“I found the front 9 to be very ordinary and not distinctive at all. Back 9 was better but just OK. Better design variety than the front. Good finishing hole."
3 / 6
“Pretty flat layout compared to the other courses there. Good but not outstanding conditions."
4 / 6
“Neat club with a great caddie program. The Old Course has a lot of history; the golf course is difficult but not necessarily unique or all that enjoyable."
5 / 6
“A great mix of short and long holes with strategically placed bunkering around the course. Both fades and draws are demanded due to the diverse design variety the old course presents. Very challenging and undulating greens that presented many great pin placement opportunities"
6 / 6
“Classic tree lined layout that is fun and beautiful. The design is interesting and scenic."
