“This course has been wonderful restored, with trees removed and the sightlines have really been enhanced. The greens are small, but undulating and firm, the course is playable for everyone, and pace of play is quick. I cannot recommend enough this place as a way point to the Oregon coast. This is a gem that won't be a secret for long."

“Gearhart Golf Links is a wonderful, very enjoyable links-style course just a couple of miles north of Seaside, Oregon about 90 minutes from Portland. As "The Oldest Course West of the Mississippi" (which they've documented), GGL has been recently purchased by Mr. Tim Boyle, CEO of Columbia Sportswear and in doing so, Mr. Boyle has spent considerable amounts of money to restore its original design features. Bunkers have been refined, literally hundreds of pine trees have been removed and recently the tee areas have been rebuilt. In addition, an addtion to the current Lodge/Restaurant (very charming by any standards) is underway and a new building due for completion in 2018 will feature more lodge rooms and an additional golfer's watering hole. Don't visit GGL expecting another Bandon Dunes but this wonderful and affordable links course close to Portland and the resort towns of Seaside and Cannon Beach is a memorable track with reasonable fees and managed by an owner and employees dedicated to making it a remarkable golf destination experience that you will want to visit again and again."
