“Metropolis is a fun and well-manicured golf course in Westchester County NY that is often overlooked given the strength of its nearby neighbors. The course itself is highlighted by a wonderful routing that utilizes the hillside effectively to create a variety of shots. The par 4s offer good variation while the par 5s play in the same direction with downhill approaches. The par 3s are fun but lack a hole that requires a well strong long iron. The greens are varied for the most part putt but at times a bit repetitive with the severe two-tier structure. The sixth hole, a downhill par 4, certainly stands out as a memorable hole framed with fescue and the hillside on the right. Aesthetically the net from the driving range hinders the last few holes of an otherwise great short par 4 17th."

“Another underrated course in Westchester County, Metropolis is a fantastic Herbert Strong design later redesigned by A.W. Tillinghast. With excellent conditions and a peculiar and attractive style of bunkering, this course winds over hilly property and contains a number of excellent holes. Among these are the par 3 4th that sits on a ledge and famous par 4 6th which is considered one of the best holes in New York. The variety here is strong and this is a course I'd gladly play everyday."
