Review

“Very reminiscent of a Hilton Head course, no two holes were the same with varying short and long par 3s and meandering doglegs in both directions. Nothing man made or eye popping aesthetically was designed into the course but enough of what nature provided was used to build the course around to make it very aesthetically pleasing. The course wasn't overly hard and generous fairways lined with bunkers that can be navigated easily and large greens make it a moderate challenge to a scratch golfer but was a fun course to play for any level of golfer."

“Shell Landing is a very well laid out golf course winding through hilly marshland. Wide fairways, and easily identifiable hazards make it very playable, and fun for everyday play. Tiered, undulating greens give strong shot options, but a few misplaced forced layups detract from the flow of the round, and the course presents itself similarly to many very good courses and would not readily distinguish itself as unique in character."

“Very fun course to play. The ball rolled on the fairways and took a quality shot into the greens to hold. The greens rolled very nicely and putted true. There could be a huge variety of tee and pin locations that would make the holes play very differently from day to day."

“Nothing when you roll up in the way of club house or practice area prepare you for what you are going to experience on the course. Well conditioned, the course is in good shape with premium lies in the fairways and bunkers. The green were firm and running fast and true. Davis Love used the natural marshes and water on the land to blend a golf course amongst it. "
