Overview
Architect Ron Prichard took an existing layout by Charles Maddox and completed transformed it—with an brand-new course reopening in 2015 that is one of the best in Minnesota. Tyler Rae has done some renovation work in recent years to clear out a significant number of trees to open up sightlines and tweak green complexes to make some less severe. “Rolling site routed through an upscale residential development, mostly with a N/S orientation. Moderately wide hole corridors, well-bunkered, with water affecting play on 12 holes; lightly treed on the periphery of most holes and high native vegetation cautions aggressive play off the tee, and along with extremely contoured green complexes place a greater emphasis on accuracy. Primarily medium and long holes add to the challenge, and the course is challenges the best club golfers while being mostly fair. With several forced carries, water (much of it lateral), 63 bunkers, and difficult greens, the bogie golfer will often have a hard time, even from the proper set of tees. New bentgreens are moderately firm; fairways soft due to wet summer, recent rains. A very attractive modern golf course with considerable attention paid to detail. Two road crossings and some considerable distances between tees and greens difficult to walk."

“Recently renovated. They cut down hundreds of trees with great results, added fescue with medium results, and reshaped their greens. Reshaped greens are no problem for really good players, but make it really hard for mid to high handicap players. "

“Redesign of the course is great with utilizing the current USGA goals with limited water consumption. Private course that leaves you wanting to play it again due to the challenging greens and knowing the correction placement and positioning for scoring. Conditioning for a private course is excellant"

“Challenging and scenic links style course with diverse routing over hills, through wooded areas, and along a lake/marsh. Best conditioned course played this year."

“Wonderful club in all aspects, plus a playable course that will still challenge top players. Great practice facilities and welcoming staff. Only the houses boardering some of the holes keep this from being a five star experience."

“Most of the greens are have multiple tiers, and have collection areas on most of those greens. I think the average player (and I played with 2 of them in my round) would 3-putt 3-6 times nearly every time. I think an average player would not want to play this course very often because of it. "
