“Old-timey and hilly front nine with a longer, flatter back nine. Conditions are good, not great. Fun to play. A bit out of the way and not too crowded. Basic golf."

“Sandy Creek is a nice little golf course to visit if you are working on your wedge approach shots. It is built along a creek bottom with mostly clay soil that does make it difficult for grass to grow during the heat of the summer. The course is a little quirky with some holes that are very short with difficult to navigate tee shots. However, this is a very affordable place to play golf and the staff in eastern Kentucky is as nice as you can get. If you have time and looking for some public golf in Ashland, it is an option."
