“This is a great place to play golf with a great story to tell. This course was at one time bankrupt, out of business, and completely overgrown until the local university was able to resurrect this property. The money spent to renovate this diamond in rural Georgia was used well. The practice facility is wonderful and used to help students and Georgia Southern University learn how to play golf. The rates at this course are wonderful and encourages students and everyone to play this course. The course itself is a wonderful test of golf and one of the best public courses around. There are eleven holes with water on them and three holes that make you hold your breath while hitting over water on tee shots and approach shots. The greens have great undulations and are very challenging if you are on the wrong side of the hole. The tee shot on number six is one of the most intimidating that I have ever played with water all along the left side of the fairway and a bunker and tree challenging the right. I enjoyed the hospitality of the local pro and the staff. This is a great place to play golf..."
