“Recent renovation by Brian Silva added zoysia to tee boxes and fairways, renovated all bunkers, removed many trees to open up corridors, and added distance with 6-7 new tee boxes for the tips which increases challenge during tournaments. Very interesting Ross green complexes, 16 adds a Raynor twist w/ the most pronounced punchbowl green this panelist has ever seen. Several other greens have squared edges adding to the Raynor features.....Raynor in the past had done a renovation at the "Lake Course" once part of Augusta Country Club across the street from the short game practice area but no longer in existence. The remodel of #8 added much length to the back tee box and brought the green complex to the edge of Rae's Creek(yes that Rae's Creek). The remodel of #9 created a hole that is 85 yards longer from the tips to a difficult reverse redan type green complex....a vast improvement over the prior #9 iteration which was one of the weaker holes on the golf course."
