“Good routing and hole design, but conditioning has been declining for a while now, especially since the land the first and second holes sit on have been sold and the course will be rebuilt to accommodate the loss of that ground. Usually the 18 hole play is Bad to Ugly, and this half of the 18 is the easier side. Accuracy is important, especially from the tee as trouble is everywhere, but unlike the Ugly 9, missing the greens isn't exceptionally penal. The staff is outstanding and I've run into U.S. Open Champion Hubert Green a few times here. Of special note, the second round of the PGA Qualifying school used to be played on this course."
