“The better of the two course at Foxwoods, The North Course is public and designed by Rees Jones. Just like its private sister, this course is extremely difficult and you realize this early on standing on the par 3 2nd and looking down at the island green surrounded by water. There's much more variety here than the South Course and there are some great holes such as 2, 6, 17, and 18. This is definitely in my top 2 or 3 public courses in Connecticut and is well-worth a play for visitors to the area."

“If you are unable to get a round on the South Course, the North is a great alternative. Just as expertly maintained and equally as beautiful. The range is natural grass which is a big plus given the high price of the round. Be aware however that it is a resort course so you'll most certainly come across ball marks and unfilled divots. There is water throughout and right from the first tee you'll be tested the entire way. The sand traps are filled with light fluffy sand that respond well to the customary thump out of the hazard. Wayward shots will most likely end up as a lost ball so take care to chose the correct club and not overswing. This is a must play if you are in the area."
