Overview
The Hill course at Moose Run—America’s northernmost 36-hole facility—first opened in 1952, when a group of Army combat engineers laid out the first nine holes. Now 18 holes, the layout is generous off the tee with spruce and birch trees framing most holes. The greens are quite small and flat, rewarding those who can find the surfaces with a makable putt. With water in play on just two holes and tipping out at under 6,500 yards, the Hill is significantly easier than its sibling Creek course. This military course is adjacent to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
