You wouldn't think making your first birdie in a tournament would be a disappointment, but that's what happened to me. I was playing in a celebrity event years ago. A Mercedes was up for grabs for anyone who got a hole-in-one on this island green. I used my 9-iron and hit a perfect shot. The ball floated toward the flagstick, dropped on the green and began tracking to the hole. Everyone was quiet, and it felt like a minute had passed as it inched closer and closer and then...the ball went past the cup, stopping an inch or two behind it. My heart broke. Imagine, my first hole-in-one would have been rewarded with a new car! Tapping in for a birdie was dull compared to the heart attack I'd just lived through. [Laughs.] There's nothing like the excitement and drama of hitting a great golf shot. My girlfriends and I play this executive course—Scholl Canyon

in Glendale, Calif. It's a crazy course built on a landfill. There's this one hole that no one in our group could ever knock it on the green in regulation. It's so narrow. But one day, I knocked it on, and my partner and I made a best-ball birdie. We were all tackling each other, rolling around on the green. It was quite a sight. You play, right? Then I'm sure you get the idea.

Best known for roles on "CSI: Miami," "Supernatural" and "The Glades," the 29-year-old actress learned to play with her dad in Arlington, Texas.
