Why We Like It
- This crescent-neck half-mallet is a great option for those interested in switching from a blade putter to a mallet.
- To increase target awareness, the ball-width cavity in the back flange has a contrasting alignment line .
- Slight toe hang works best for strokes with some flowing arc.
- This 2025 update to the iconic line repositions the center of gravity to create a more balanced stroke with a larger and more centered sweet spot.
- The slightly heavier head is designed to smooth out your stroke.
- The face pattern uses mini-honeycomb milling marks to provide a responsive but firm feel that’s softer than Bettinardi’s traditional honeycomb pattern.
- Finished with a “Royal Rose” PVD treatment for improved ball-putter-green contrast.
- Top 5 in Performance, high-handicaps
- Model: QB7. Head weight: 362 grams. Lengths: 33-38 inches. Loft: 1-4 degrees

I really like the smaller size and the soft lines of the design. Muted knock at impact was pleasing. Rolled nicely end over end for all stroke-lengths.

I love the rose-gold finish. On the firm side at impact. This club makes putting easy. Just relax and deliver the face to the back of the ball.

If you're putting with a blade, this is the one that's going to get you into mallets. The feel is unrivaled, ball seems to gather on the face. You can be aggressive. Only nitpick is, it didn't seem real stable on mis-hits.

Very traditional design and feel, except pretty hot off the face. A lot of heft, considering the small head. Distance control took a while to get used to.

Very compact head made it easy to swing. The head weight is substantial. I found it quite stable for its smaller size. The brushed copper and light blue was calming, and the acoustic was soft.

Sort of an old-school look, with the smaller head. Easy to line up using the single line, and short putts rolled very true. Some skid on medium and longer putts.

Wish it were a little bigger for a mallet. It performed very well. Smooth, and I could control distance. I could really feel the head swinging, long putts and short putts.

The copper-tone finish is unique, very pleasing. I like the curved shape of the head and the heavy weight to it. The ball rolled true, no matter where I hit on the face.

Simple and classy-looking. The smaller head and single line really focused me, helped me hit the sweet spot. The face was pretty soft, so the ball didn't jump off.

Daniel

On the small side for a mallet, which makes an easier transition from a blade. The head is dense, and I felt that as I swung it. Wanted to move in a pendulum motion. Meaty feel on center strikes but kinda dead on off-center.

The pinching in of the cavity in the flange lines things up so simply. Impact was crisp and repeatable, ball always under control with a consistent force. Has the balance and stability of a mallet, but the heft of a blade putter.

The “V” reflects the versatility of a lineup that allows multiple-mallet options to attach to the two most popular shaft/neck options via a typical torque wrench.
Two hosel options include the short slant or short plumber.
Putters are milled from 303 stainless steel in the face with a 6061-aircraft-aluminum body.

A reverse plumber’s-neck hosel centers the putter’s balance point between the shaft and head to make it easier for the face to stay square to the path of the stroke.
The benefit of the hosel is that unlike other designs that reduce or eliminate torsional resistance, this version does not force the hands well forward with an angled shaft. The idea is that because the shaft is aligned with the head’s center of mass, the putter face stays square to the path of the stroke to eliminate unreliable hand action.
Models include the extremely stable Z1, which features two 85-gram heel and toe weights in the front sole of the milled-aircraft-aluminum head.

L.A.B. Golf is known for distinctive shapes that pursue balanced weighting to keep the face square, but this lineup represents the company’s most conventional look yet.
With input from Adam Scott, the traditional half-moon mallets feature the all-aluminum milled Oz.1 and the Oz.1i, which has a milled stainless-steel face insert.
Both models incorporate the sole weighting and 2-degree shaft lean that align the shaft with the putter’s center of mass so that the head remains square to the lie angle for consistent, on-target impacts.
