Why We Like It
- The maraging-steel face is razor thin (.050 of an inch) to maximize face flex.
- A new proprietary internal polymer enhances sound and feel.
- An internal channel around the hitting area also promotes flexing at impact.
- A 20-gram tungsten toe weight positions the center of gravity in the middle of the face and boosts the moment of inertia, helping mitigate ball speed loss on mis-hits.
- Each iron is five-times forged from 8620 carbon steel and has a milled back surface that produces a pleasing aesthetic.
- A lightweight titanium insert in the back saves five grams that are redistributed to improve forgiveness.
- SPECS: 7-iron: 30 degrees; PW: 44 degrees

Classic styling with the weight centered in the back. It gives a quieter clap of a sound at impact—a clean, crisp pop.

It looks like an armored vehicle or Iron Man, and it feels like you're producing electricity at impact. It felt great and powerful.

The offset was noticeable and I struggle with that being a draw player. It creates a left-bias for me. But behind the ball, the club looks fine. I felt it had a firmer feel but good turf interaction. I had to manipulate the shots to avoid over-drawing it, so I couldn't go after it as much as I would have liked.

Beautiful head shape, a smaller topline without being too thin. It gives you confidence. The white sight line at the bottom of the face is a nice enhancement. It helps square the ball up. Weighting in head feels a little heavier, promoting a smooth swing with a very powerful result. You can feel the heft through impact, but when you hit the center of the face, the ball really takes off. There was above-average distance on center hits.

I liked the rising trajectory with a loud thump sound at impact. That port in the back of the clubhead felt like it was delivering extra oomph. Good presentation. It really wanted to stay down and drive through the turf.

The look is attractive and topline is thin. I was playing tug-of-war with this head. The weight felt bulky during the swing. Shots off the toe were mid-launch and went both directions, so forgiveness seemed lacking.

Alex

These felt really long and with a higher ball flight than I typically have—parabolic, not rising. It was soft off the face and it felt like a big sweet spot. I like the comfortable size and shape of the clubhead. They are workable with a hushed sound at impact.

Ryan

This design feels just right. It's not overdone. The problem for me was how industrial they feel when I'm swinging them. They are loud and crashing at impact and the club often dug into the turf. Felt like the ball had a mind of its own and really wanted to dart off line. The flight was mid level and it was resistant to going higher.

Not a lot of frills on the head—I like that. It glides through the turf super nice and produces a mid-to-high ball flight. I hit one on the toe and it was still on target. More forgiving than you would typically find in a players-distance iron.

Shane

It is elastic off the face with a good percussive feel. You could feel that slingshot effect. More of a high-arcing ball flight and very forgiving on dispersion. There's not sizable dropoff on mis-hits.

The length of the head led me to believe the sweet spot would be generous, but it was elusive. On center hits, it was a massive punch and outstanding sound. It was disappointing in distance on off-center strikes.

Wei

Very nice overall proportions, but I would have appreciated a little bit of a softer front edge on the topline. I just feel like the line is a little too sharp for my taste. Distance was average and the trajectory was mid-height.

The weight distribution allowed me to swing faster and I hit these really far with total control. There was an awesome, piercing ball flight—like a plane taking off on a runway. It's really sharp with the technology. Tough to imagine a cooler-looking golf club.

I like the look of the head with the thin, rounded topline and there's not a lot of offset that was noticeable. It was very quiet and silent, almost like a Seal team showing up and you didn't hear them coming. You're going to see the ball next to the pin and not know what happened. One nitpick: good swing, great result but bad swing, bad results. It didn't mask bad shots.

I found the logo and the back weight a bit busy looking. With the short irons, I got an extremely high ball flight. For a higher-handicapper with average ball speed, this lacks the forgiveness and extra juice off the face I'd need to feel confident.

Matt

It's a very clean-looking club with a muted, hollow sound, which is interesting because it has a firm feel to it. If you missed by a millimeter, you're gonna know about it. If you flush it, you won't feel it. I tried to mis-hit it, and it still went straight. Impossible to keep it off line, but it just launches so high. If you're a player who has a tough time getting it up in the air, these are clubs for you.

It had a very soft, springy trampoline-like feel. It was a little sluggish through the turf, stickier. There was energy into the ball with a higher trajectory and apex that will easily hold greens. It gave me a softer landing.

The ball flight was a delayed climb. Stayed low, climbed to an apex and fell. The topline makes me think I'm hitting a more advanced club. For me, that helps me think I can get the ball in the air.
