Why We Like It
- The two-piece pocket-cavity design uses a cap-back piece for the first time in a TW Series iron to improve feel in a thin-face iron.
- High-strength AM355P steel is used for the L-face that wraps around the sole in the 5- through 8-iron, providing these irons with some extra spring at impact.
- The face features a pattern of thick and thin areas low on the face to amplify speed on shots struck in that area.
- A 5-iron and gap wedge are available, but the stock set is five irons, starting at the 6-iron.
- The company’s well-respected Vizard EZ-C shaft is the stock graphite option.
- Top 5 in Performance, middle-handicaps.
- SPECS: 7-iron: 30 degrees; PW: 43 degrees

I got a high ball flight, almost too high. Not enough pierce toward the target. The receded hosel line makes it feel a little scoopy. I do like the progressive offset through the set. As you move into the longer clubs, the offset gets less and less visible. There's more workability with this design.

Cool looks with a simple design. They have a very soft feel, like a nice forged face. The clubs ripped through the turf nicely. You don't get much curvature in ball flight with these.

This had beautiful, soft feel and went a country mile. It's really hard to mis-hit the ball with these. I got all the distance I expected.

The ones I hit dead center were real good, but you get that reverb back into the hands on mis-hits and distance fell off. On the good side, my dispersion was still pretty good. It's kind of a classic-club look—not as thick of a topline but not as narrow as players irons. A nice combo between the two.

Jin

The sound of the club is a bit deep. You know you hit it well at impact based on the duration of that sound. The thin topline actually gives me confidence. It does have a firmer-than-average feel that I like. You can feel in your hands exactly how you hit the ball. They were on the higher side of ball flight and I gained distance through the bag.

I got more distance, even on mis-hits, but it was less forgiving on sidespin. The shot shape it produced was lower and more playable.

Peter

It's got a nice ball flight, center and off-center hits have nice boring trajectory. It doesn't balloon. It was easy to hit straight. Dispersion, even with long irons, is pretty tight. The biggest detraction is that it's a little offset, which for a players category might turn some people off but probably aids in the forgiveness department.

Hot and light. If you're struggling with swing speed and want a light club with a hot face to help you get it back, this will give you that distance. It doesn't look too bad on the eyes at all. It's got a nice, shiny, chrome-hitch look.

Alex

This is pure. The ball comes off super hot like a Space-X rocket. I mis-hit one shot and everything else was as pure as possible. I'd instantly buy it.

I like the look—it's the perfect mix between a players iron and a game-improvement iron—which is the ideal in this category. The top edge is perfect. You can feel the ball compressing off the face. It's a little muted, you don't get that flushed noise, but you can feel where on the clubface you're hitting the ball.

Molly

I didn't want to stop hitting it. It cut through the turf like nothing else. There was an egg-cracking sound at impact that pleasantly caught my attention. High launch, big distance—it fell both directions nicely and there was no extra bad spin on mis-hits.

Paul

The launch was very low but I was impressed by the consistency. I got good distance across the face and the softness of the contact was pleasing. Consistency is what you want and got with these.

I kept hitting it high and straight. The club had great performance. Tight dispersion around the flag and good feedback on those shots through the hands. It rewards good shots and is not overly punitive on bad shots. Not crazy about the two-tone silver finish on the cavity.

Ryan

There's definitely good technology in this club, but it's hidden in the design. I got a higher, piercing trajectory than I'm used to. It had a hot feel to it, almost thought I heard it sizzle. I really don't like the cavity-back look.

This is a more of a workable type of iron. The good shots were really good but I didn't get the same kind of support on all the mis-hits. It has a nice balance in terms of the look.

Thomas

Performance-wise it gave me a very high ball flight and was super easy to hit. There was no problem at all going through the turf, and I liked the feedback from sound and feel. It was satisfying.

The iron looks great and feels fantastic but produces a lower flight than this category of irons tends to have in general. It’s more like a players iron. You can flight the ball down in the wind, it's very controllable. For someone who likes to finesse shots, it's like a crafty veteran.

John

It's pretty pleasing to the eye in a unique way but the performance was inconsistent for me. I did hit a couple of bombs, but there was way too much variation and inconsistency in my results.

Felt so super off the clubface—soft, but not to the point where you don't feel the ball. You can work the ball with this one. It doesn't really allow you to miss. The ball flight was so deep and penetrating, it was like you could run after it and catch it. I felt like I was in total control.

A sleek design that looks really good in the bag. Lots of forgiveness on off-center hits, which is an added bonus to how great it looks.

Robert

I got a more muted sound coming off the club. You still get the reaction off the face and the solid feel of good hits, but the sound was quieter. The 5-iron was hotter than others and I got good forgiveness on toe strikes.

Wei

I really love the look of the back of the club; it looks like there's a ton of perimeter weighting. It looks like it would have a very easy time launching. The sound and feel for me are ideal, with a quintessential forged feeling at impact that I look for in an iron. The flight was mid height, and I got easy draws. I felt like I had strong control to create whatever shot I wanted.

Jamie

The heads are oversized and I prefer a smaller head with less offset, but you can't argue with the performance and forgiveness they provide. Anything off-center was quickly brought back. It really gave me the confidence. Reliable beyond belief.

These are quietly aggressive. At impact, there's a low, muted tone that is dense and powerful sounding. They are lightweight and almost too easy to turn over, but that means they are easy to manipulate.
