The Verdict: If you're into the vintage vibe with a touch of high-end smugness, you might have found your next set—provided you can stroke a check for the hefty price. The soft, carbon-steel body is married to a springy, maraging-steel face, and the milled lines in the rear cavity aren't just for decoration. Closer inspection reveals that the cut becomes deeper toward the bottom of the head and is angled and sized to allow for more weight in the toe. This helps control trajectory and provide more energy transfer on toe hits.

It has the "wow" factor. Hot off the face but not at the loss of feel.

If you want a compact player's iron, look no further than this. It reminds me of tiny muscle back irons. It's serious. It has a good, soft feel with a pleasing sound.

More height than expected with long irons.

These take your breath away. A pleasure to watch go up in the air. Everything you want out of an iron. There's a lot of tech we can't see.
