TS+

Hot List Silver 2022

Our Review:

WHAT IT DOES: The TS stands for Tour Series, and the + is for a players design that has a bit of players-distance tech in it. This iron uses a tri-metal approach in which a 431 stainless-steel body is married to a zippy HT1770 face that is just two millimeters thick. The body is hollow, allowing plenty of room for the face to flex. An average of 25 grams of tungsten in the sole lowers the center of gravity just enough to make getting the proper height on shots possible.

WHY WE LIKE IT: This iron is a delight for the discerning golfer because it offers options, like a myriad of shafts that have been aligned using the SST PURE system to position the spine in line with the target at impact. This encourages a more consistent strike. The company also insists that its irons be custom-fit, leading the company to produce iron heads that are light before weighting them to the desired swingweight. Lofts can be adjusted plus or minus 3 degrees, and a proprietary hosel allows for lie-angle alterations plus or minus an impressive 7 degrees. Oh, by the way, not to worry if you lose one of your clubs. Henry-Griffitts keeps records of its builds, making it easy to get a duplicate for a missing stick.

Player Comments
Low-Handicapper

“The look is 1960s, but these are insanely good-feeling. Just perfect dig and glide. I would hit the ground hard, and they didn’t stick. The ball slices through the air.”

Low-Handicapper

"You look down at it and it looks like a Samurai sword it's so small. But it's the easiest to control out of the bunch. No matter what you want to do with it, you can do."

Mid-Handicapper

"Great turf interaction and the ball seems to jump off the face. But you can control it. The ball drives through the air more than other clubs so far. Piercing flight."
