Edel

EAS

Hot List Gold 2022

Our Review:

WHAT IT DOES: The EAS promotes a smoother, repeatable stroke by removing weight from the toe of the club. This unconventional weighting allows the putter, shaft and golfer to work in unison.

WHY WE LIKE IT: We’re proponents of the KonMari method, which is why we like Edel’s “less is more” ideology. That idea of removing weight from the toe reduces resistance to the way the toe opens or closes during the stroke. Even in mallets—a category where “more” is the M.O.—the EAS achieves this with subtly hollowed-out areas in its larger footprint. An adjustable heel weight moderates tempo, and a hex-shaped milling pattern on the face promotes speed control so that off-center impacts roll similar to center strikes. Nine alignment options for each head let you dial in the perfect setup.

Player Comments
Low-Handicapper

“You can tell how much thought has gone into this. Every detail is considered. The round grip encourages a smooth stroke.”

Mid-Handicapper

"I like some of the inventiveness. The weighting was good. Not an oversize head which is good. And the line helps alignment."

High-Handicapper

"Different finish, color and structure that makes it look cool and stick out for my eye. Coming off the face it's really soft, yet firm. You get the feeling that you have great control of the weight. The roll is pretty nicely consistent each time."
