STORY: Won the 2017 Greenbrier Classic and Tour Championship.NOT SO BAD
On the Web.com Tour last year, I missed my PGA Tour card by less than $1,000. I just ran out of tournaments, so I didn't lose any sleep over it. Instead, I went out and got my card through the finals.THANKS, DAD
My father, Stefan, is the only swing coach I've had. I wouldn't be where I am today without him. He was out here with me for the FedEx Cup playoffs and continues to offer support, not just for me but for our entire family.—With E. Michael Johnson

SPECS: TaylorMade M2 2017, 9.5˚, Graphite Design DI-7X shaft, D-3 swingweightI've played TaylorMade drivers since I was in high school, so it's a comfortable look for me. There's an adjustable hosel, but I'm not one to move things around much, as I like to work the ball. The shaft is tipped one inch to provide control.

SPECS: TaylorMade M1 2017, 15˚, Graphite Design DI-8X shaft, 43.5 inches, D-3It's supposed to have only one weight screw on the sole, but this has two to make the swingweight D-3. It felt too heavy originally, so we put two lighter weights in it to get the desired feel.

SPECS: TaylorMade P790 (2-iron), True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shaft. TaylorMade P750 (4-iron through pitching wedge). True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shaft. Standard lie angle. Golf Pride Z-Grip Cord Mid gripsWhen I was 13 to 15 years old, I played muscleback blades and quickly learned they were not good for me. These look smaller and have a thinner topline than the PSi Tour irons I was using, so it was an easy change.

SPECS: Titleist Vokey SM6 (52˚, 56˚, 60˚). True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shaftsI put these in at Greenbrier. I might switch back to TaylorMade wedges, but after winning, well, players are superstitious. These will be in the bag for a bit.

SPECS: Odyssey Works Big T #5, 35 inchesI put this in play last year when Odyssey had a program for players using their putters. I figured I might as well make some money. It turned out to be a great putter for me.

I mark my TaylorMade TP5x very carefully. The thickness on the line on my ball is the same thickness as the line on the alignment aid on my putter.

A spectator gave me this silver quarter. It's from 1964, which was the gentleman's birth year. We polish it and use it week in and week out.

We play in a lot of hot weather, and it's important to keep the hands dry for a good grip. Just a little bit of this Grip Shield does the trick quickly and effectively.

I love French and English bulldogs. They're hilarious and adorable. I don't have any yet, but my girlfriend and I just moved in together, and that's the next step. We're looking at getting one. Of course, she wants both at the same time. We'll see.

Winning the Tour Championship and that Bobby Jones Calamity Jane putter trophy was an amazing experience.

My agent and I usually have a steak-and-wine dinner on Wednesdays before tournaments. It's a good source of protein for the night before, and it helps me sleep before the opening round.
