Overview
Once the host of the Senior PGA Tour Championship and now home to Dustin Johnson’s annual World Junior Golf Championship, TPC Myrtle Beach is designed to challenge even the pros. Numerous water hazards, strategically placed trees, and forced carries make this track a tough, but enjoyable test.

“This is a must stop if you're playing several courses in the Myrtle Beach area. Home of the Dustin Johnson Golf Academy and host to his junior world championship tournament. There's a great DJ memorabilia display from over years in the clubhouse. He attended college in the area. The course is lots of fun. Couple drivable par 4s and water in play on about half the holes. Mostly flat through the forest, but there's enough up and downs to keep it interesting and present some challenge. Par 5s were on the shorter side and presented great opportunities to score. They really do a great job of playing off the PGA association at this course. The staff wear PGA caddie bibs with their names on it. It really makes them stand out. Without exception they were helpful and knowledgeable. Clearly they were passionate about golf. It was a very well-run facility and a great place to spend a day on the course in one of the best golf locations on the east coast."

“If fairways and greens were firmer, the course might be more enjoyable - and challenging - but the objective seems to be pushing rounds from a large membership and tourist groups through under the TPC banner. Though there are a few good hole the course is devoid of any memorable sequence. Shorter par fours are better than the longer ones and par three setup required four different clubs; still, those aren't enough reason to return, especially with much better options just down the road."

“Move up a tee and enjoy a course that presents a fair and firm challenge. Need to hit it straight but most wayward shots can be found and put back in play."

“Enjoyed the round there but I thought conditioning could have been better. Good layout and a test."

“Considering the relatively flat terrain, the TPC of Myrtle Beach provides a tough and entertaining round of golf. Greens rolled really well, lots of heroic shots and the conditioning was very good."
