Overview
Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw are known for their minimalist designs with quiet undulation and ridges—Hidden Creek fits nicely in their portfolio. Like many other Coore-Crenshaw works, Hidden Creek offers wide fairways that emphasize finding the best angle to give yourself the best chance to score. The course offers a great mix of doglegs in both directions, and there is quite a good variety in the par-4s, including the short par-4 8th that is one of the highlights of the round. The par-3s are quite impressive too, as they range from 230 to 115. Hidden Creek is one of the best courses in the Dormie Network’s stable and more than holds its own in comparison to the other courses in the region.

“Pure golf holes that a secluded from the other holes. The turf seems to make the course play long, which was confirmed by caddies. The greens give you ample room to land and run shots onto the putting surface. Coore and Crenshaw used excellent bunkering throughout the routing. Great place to visit if in the Atlantic City area."

“Loved the secluded feel on this course. It's a pure golf experience. The course played longer than it looked from the tee boxes. Large greens with some subtle breaks. Loved the center hazards on several holes. Adds to the challenge and factored into strategy. Conditions were a little soft which contributed to feeling longer. Service is top shelf at this Dormie Network course. Pace of play was also excellent with a round taking a little under 4 hours with no congestion on the course at any point. If you can get an invite, Hidden Creek is worth a visit when you're in the Atlantic City area."

“One of Coore & Crenshaw's earlier designs, Hidden Creek was meticulously constructed and carries a heathlands aesthetic. The fourth and eleventh holes are among the best par threes anywhere and par four variety is high. The site lacks significant elevation change but a creative routing keeps holes from seeming redundant."

“Hidden Creek is a private Dormie Club course near Atlantic City designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. I really enjoyed the layout here and thought there were some excellent and highly memorable holes such as the gorgeous par 3 4th and 11th holes. The greens complexes here are also terrific and the bunkering with fescue is highly aesthetically pleasing. This is easily one of the best courses in Southern NJ and one I highly recommend."
