Overview
Mid South Club can play a lot longer than its yardage from the back tees with the significant amount of elevation present on this Arnold Palmer design. The rolling terrain and mounding provide options for the player to use the slopes to work the ball, though six green complexes require forced carries over water.

“I enjoy playing Mid South as there is a nice mix of open fairways to bomb driver (or fairway wood) but a level of satisfaction to knowing where the course is going and where to hit/miss. The bodies of water, mix of uneven terrain, large greens, and links feel (from 10-12) make the course intriguing and exciting."

“Wonderful modern layout. Generous landing areas off the tee. Interesting green complexes with significant undulation and run off areas. Very well maintained."

“It’s terrific…was beautiful in the morning light and formidable to play with memorable holes and challenges. The par-4, 5th, down a hill and around a corner to a lake guarded by water, is a great hole on a course where we found no weak ones. The front nine is more beautiful. The back nine is more difficult. I particularly loved the downslope option that makes #15 almost reachable in two. The 16th is magnificent. You will deal with water from the tee and with your approach. Beware that 2nd shot. From the fairway. first-timers may not see water protecting that green. It's an all-or-nothing shot reminiscent of #8 at Pebble Beach, though not nearly as grand or as famous. That entire stretch from #12-#18 is a wonderful test---tough but fair, just like the course. Anyone can play it and have a great time."

“Really like this golf course. A lot of fun risk-reward shots especially on the par 5s. Always enjoy playing this course."

“Well-conditioned Arnold Palmer course in the North Carolina Pine Hills region. Front nine has more character than the back nine. Both nines end on the same double green."
