Overview
True North Golf Club, located in Harbor Springs, captures the best of Northern Michigan golf as it winds through the forest with significant elevation changes. The fairways on this Jim Engh design play wider than they appear, as most are raised toward the edges, feeding balls back toward the center. Given the course plays through dense forest, each hole is separate from the others, giving the layout a secluded feel emblematic of the region’s laid-back vibe.

“One of the most beautiful courses in Michigan. Rolling topography and a diverse mix of uphill and downhill tee shots and approaches. The greens are firm and receptive and roll true. The course is more forgiving than it looks as several tighter holes feature slopes on the sides of the rough to kick balls back to center. One of the best parts of this course are the greens. No two greens are alike and they all have bold contouring greenside. Some are smaller "target" greens, and others larger partitioned with big slopes."
