Overview
Royal Ka’anapali is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design situated on Maui’s northwest course—a short drive from Kapalua—with terrific views of nearby Lanai and Molokai. The course plays over varied terrain, starting on the coastline before moving into the foothills of West Maui Mountains. Though the course tips out at a modest 6,700 yards, strong trade winds often present a stern test.

“Course was in great shape. Wide open fairways make it very forgivable. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The Blue course used to host PGA events but is far too short for today's pros. A great course for a fun vacation round. They have twilight rates so if you don't mind playing in the afternoon when the tradewinds may be blowing a bit, you can save a few bucks."

“The Royal Course is a very challenging test, especially from the back tees and with strong trade winds. The greens are usually in very good condition and the fairways are well kept. The staff is friendly, especially starters and cart boys. Roy's is a great option for after round drinks and food."
