“Arriving at Soleta Golf Club, the first thing that catches your eye is the gleaming white sand, shimmering under the sun and hinting at the special experience that awaits. The course winds artfully through a forest, with the white sand perfectly integrated to create a visually striking yet natural landscape. The routing feels intentional and thoughtful, delivering a blend of challenge and beauty that sets Soleta apart. The fairways present an engaging test, rarely offering a flat lie but providing generous landing zones for well-struck shots. The green complexes, with their undulating slopes and subtle bumps, demand creativity and precision. Depending on the pin placement, you could face some truly daunting putts, adding to the course’s dynamic challenge. What makes Soleta especially enjoyable is its versatility—most holes can be approached in multiple ways, encouraging players to strategize and experiment. While the course is already a joy to play, its potential is undeniable. As it matures and softens over time, Soleta Golf Club could easily establish itself as one of Florida’s top 10 courses."

“Soleta is a Nick Price design that opened in October 2024. It has two features that distinguish it from many other Florida courses: acres and acres of white sugar sand waste areas and a lack of water hazards in close proximity to the fairways and greens. Despite its youth the course has grown in extremely well with firm fairways and, surprisingly, greens that hold approach shots. Earth from the ponds that do exist was used to create humps and bumps in the fairways resulting in uphill, downhill and sidehill lies. There is virtually no rough and the sugar sand waste areas line the edges of many fairways creating challenging lies. Greens are large for the most part with multiple tiers allowing for different yardages depending on pin positions. Tee shot options varied with only a few holes offering a choice of angles or carry. For the most part the fairways are wide although the approach/layup areas on par 5s get quite narrow. Recovery shot options around the greens were limited as the runoff areas were not severe and not closely mown. Deep bunkers with steep faces were plentiful. Three of the par 3s required the same club, likely due to the wind and that day's pins while the fourth par 3 (#7) has a huge horseshoe shaped tee measuring over 60 yards across. While there are eight rated tee yardages on each hole the club only puts out three tee markers which means you're not sure exactly what course you're playing for slope/rating/handicap purposes. Overall, Soleta provides a solid golf challenge in a setting that is visually memorable. It will only get better as it ages."
