Here's another amazing Jordan Spieth stat: 93 percent of his final-round shots at this year's majors were shown on TV

August 18, 2015

Considering Jordan Spieth had a legitimate chance of winning all four majors this season, it's not surprising to learn the 22-year-old Texan got a lot of TV time. But a closer look at the numbers yields another stat that makes Spieth's 2015 campaign one for the record books.

Classic TV Sports charted every shot from the final-round broadcasts for all four majors (and the Players) and it turns out golf fans pretty much saw every one of Spieth's shots. Well, 93 percent of them to be precise, but close enough.

Overall, Spieth, the winner of the Masters and the U.S. Open, had 257 of a possible 276 shots shown on TV. He had two tournaments in which viewers missed out on seeing one shot (tap-in pars at the Masters and the PGA Championship). PGA winner Jason Day had all 67 of his Sunday shots at Whistling Straits aired and finished second to Spieth for the season with 176 shots shown overall (62 percent).
