Iraq war veteran and amputee Chad Pfeifer making Web.com Tour debut this week
When looking up and down a leaderboard, most golf fans scroll up and down looking at the scores. Everyone's name is weighted the same. Either you look for the names you know, or else, every name looks the same.

This week at the Web.com Tour event in Boise, Idaho, one name -- Chad Pfeifer -- carries special significance. Pfeifer served in Iraq and lost his leg in 2007 when an IED blew up the truck he was driving in. Now eight years later, Pfeifer is making history as the first veteran amputee to tee it up in a Web.com Tour event, on the road to his eventual goal of making the PGA Tour. Pfeifer received a sponsor's exemption to play in the Albertsons Boise Open, close to his hometown of Caldwell, Idaho.
In speaking before the PGA Tour's Humana Challenge in January, when he was invited to play in the pro-am, Pfeifer re-stated his goal of playing on the PGA Tour one day. The former Big Break contestant is getting closer and closer to the highest level.
"Each step that I've taken, I've had guys come up to me more and more," Pfeifer told PGATour.com. "That's what's special to me; it's a pretty cool feeling. That's definitely a big goal, to try and help more and more guys."
