If you've followed golf closely this season, you've likely heard touches of Jason Day's remarkable journey from a ragged upbringing in rural Australia to major champion. But this mini-documentary produced by Day sponsor RBC compacts it all into a compelling, inspiring 10 minutes.

"Never Say Die" begins with the harsh admission from Day -- that he owes much of his success in golf to the passing of his father when he was 12. "If my father was here, I wouldn't be here," he says. "If my dad was alive, there'd be no chance I'd be on the PGA Tour."

From there, we learn about Day's rise to the top of the golf world (although in an unfortunate bit of timing, the documentary's release coincides with Jordan Spieth ending Day's one-week stay atop the Official World Golf Ranking). How Day's first golf club was pulled out of the town dump. How he lost his way after his father's death, and how, thanks to the intervention of his coach and caddie Col Swatton, he regained focus to become a tireless worker, the PGA champion, and a devoted husband and father.

It's a narrative perhaps worthy of Hollywood, but for now, these 10 minutes on YouTube are riveting enough.
