Video: Incredible putt puts journeyman pro in U.S. Open on 12th try

Davis Love III, Casey Martin and others grabbed the headlines from U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying yesterday, but if you're looking for the best feel-good story, check out what happened to Dennis Miller. No, not that Dennis Miller.

Miller, a 42-year-old pro from Youngstown, Ohio, began Monday with long odds of qualifying for the national championship. For one thing, he was attempting to qualify for a 12th time after 11 unsuccessful goes. For another, he began Monday as a third alternate in a field stacked with PGA Tour pros.

But Miller got in and then got into a four-man playoff for three spots. After making sizable putts to stay alive on the second and third holes of sudden death, he had this long attempt to finally realize his dream. Sit back and enjoy what happened next:
