Tiger Woods' agent on the move again

August 09, 2011

Tiger Woods recently moved into his new digs in Jupiter, Fla. Now his agent, Mark Steinberg, will soon be on the move, too.

Steinberg told Golf World last week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio, that he plans to move to New York after Christmas now that he has signed on as a partner with Excel Sports Management. Steinberg joined Excel in July after leaving IMG, based in Cleveland, Ohio. Woods remains his client.

"I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait, really," said Steinberg, who wants to remain in suburban Cleveland until after the holidays because he has three young children.

Excel Sports Management, which represents Derek Jeter and Blake Griffin among its stable of clients, is based in New York. It also has a satellite office in Los Angeles.
