This Week in Questionable Golf Attire: Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly

June 06, 2016

The list of quarterback Jim Kelly's accomplishments is long and distinguished. He played an integral part in transforming the Miami Hurricanes into a national power and was a star in the USFL before joining the NFL, where he led the Buffalo Bills to four straight Super Bowls. Kelly runs a non-profit dedicated to fighting Krabbe disease, and has personally kicked cancer to the curb on multiple occasions. There's seemingly nothing that can stand in Kelly's way.

Save for a fashion faux pas, that is.

Kelly is holding his annual golf tournament, now in its 30th year, in Batavia, New York on Monday. And Kelly's digs for the event can only be described as "flamboyant."

We'll give him a pass on the Hogan cap, as Bryson DeChambeau has brought it back in style. However, the argyle pattern on the sweater vest and knee socks, along with knickers, is a tad too much.

Conversely, Bills fans are a star crossed bunch. Perhaps Kelly's ensemble is the rare farce that can bring that tortured franchise some laughs.
