Despite what the beat-up rocks at your local driving range convey, golf balls are surprisingly durable. They can withstand collisions with stones and trees, dives into the water, even the heat from a laser:

There is something oddly mesmerizing about watching a steamroller unable to completely destruct a golf ball. Makes a man feel like he can be knocked down, but not completely out, in this cruel, cruel world. That, or it's just really sweet to see a steamroller in action.
