The U.S. Ryder Cup team visited the New England Patriots, who had a special gift for Jim Furyk

September 01, 2016

Looks like the U.S. Ryder Cup team is taking the "patriots" mantle to heart. The FedEx Cup visits Boston this week, and with all of the American Ryder Cup players in the Deutsche Bank Championship field, Davis Love III brought his squad to Foxborough, home of the NFL's New England Patriots. Owner Bob Kraft and former players Jerod Mayo and Andre Tippet joined the eight automatic qualifiers (Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Jimmy Walker, Brandt Snedeker, Zach Johnson and Patrick Reed), along with Love and his assistants, on the field for a team photo.

Better yet, the Pats had a special gift for Jim Furyk, one of Love's assistants who may end up on the team as a player:

I know the US already has its uniforms but, should he make the roster, Furyk should be allowed to rock that bad boy at Hazeltine.
